OPEN RECEPTION
Sunday OCTOBER 5, 2025 11am - 2pm
On View August 2025 - JuLY 2026
StudioEleven's 2025 art exhibition at the Colburn School expresses, in diverse ways, the refuge of creativity in times of change and conflict. Artists’ studios and the process of making art become sacred places in the midst of chaotic external events. Works in the exhibition reflect harmonies and dissonance, elements that co-exist in the creative process as in the world.

MEET STUDIOELEVEN ARTISTS
Together, we strive to push the boundaries of artistic expression, creating a space where every member thrives, evolves, and contributes to our shared artistic journey
OUR HISTORY
In 2014, when 26 artists who studied under the guidance of artist Tom Wudl at his studio in the Arts District, decided to embark on a communal artistic journey and founded StudioEleven.
The name, ‘StudioEleven’, was chosen as a nod to the art gallery that the artists operated on the 11th floor at Maker City Los Angeles during their first year as a collective. After a run of a total of 8 successful exhibits, the group decided in 2015 to extend to other external venues and focus on building community, growing and connecting with the local art world. StudioEleven then transformed into ‘StudioEleven Artists’.
With its new mission, StudioEleven Artists exhibited members’ work at a variety of spaces in the Los Angeles area including ArtShare LA (2014), the Ebell of Los Angeles (2016), the Neutra Institute Museum and Gallery (2017), the Barrett Art Gallery in Santa Monica (2018), and the Colburn School (2015-2016),(2018-2019), (2019-2021), (2022–2023) and (2023-2024).
Our community currently thrives with 33 current member artists, all of whom have a shared background of art aesthetics, mindful practices and ideas generated within the walls of Wudl’s studio.
